This video was made as the capstone project for WRD 300 during my time at the University of Kentucky, and is a long-form documentary style video about the history of marketing tactics used for video games, and how they can be divided into multiple eras.
Recently I won a WRD award for this project from the University of Kentucky, as if I wasn't already proud of this enough. One of the biggest projects I have done in terms of video editing and recording, I actually didn't realize until I rewatched it recently how much I had cut out of this video. If I knew where the footage was I am half-tempted to recreate this so that I can include all of the cut content, or at least redo it.
